How It Works
Step 1 – Book your scan
Choose a day and time that suits you using our online booking system or by calling the clinic.
You’ll receive an appointment confirmation by SMS and email.
Step 2 – Check your SMS & open this page
After you book, you’ll receive a text message with a secure link to this page.
From that link you can:
Download the app
Use the app to store and track your InBody results over time.
You’ll be able to view your scan history and see how your body composition changes as you work on your health.
Watch the short explainer video

This video shows what happens during the scan and how to stand on the device so we get the most accurate results.
Step 3 – On the day of your scan
When you arrive at Health Nexus:
We’ll confirm your details and check you’ve followed any pre-scan instructions (e.g. avoid heavy meals or intense exercise right beforehand if possible).
You’ll remove shoes and socks and stand on the InBody device, holding the hand grips as shown.
The scan is non-invasive, takes less than a minute, and uses bioelectrical impedance – no needles, no radiation.
Your full InBody result sheet is generated immediately.
Step 4 – Understanding your InBody result sheet
Your InBody report gives a detailed breakdown of:
Body composition analysis – how your weight is divided into body fat, muscle, protein, minerals and body water.
Muscle–fat analysis – comparison of your weight, skeletal muscle mass and body fat, so you can see if you are under, within or above the healthy range for your height and sex.
Obesity & visceral fat indicators – body fat percentage and visceral fat level, which are more useful than BMI alone for understanding health risk.
Segmental analysis – how muscle and fat are distributed in each limb and your trunk, helping to highlight imbalances or areas needing attention.
Body water balance – intracellular vs extracellular water, which can indicate swelling or fluid imbalance.
Step 5 – Review with your clinician
Right after the scan, the clinician will:
Walk you through the key sections of the report.
Highlight any areas of concern, such as high visceral fat or low skeletal muscle.
Discuss how these findings relate to your overall metabolic and cardiovascular risk.
This gives you a clear “snapshot” of your current health status.
Step 6 – Optional Metabolic Risk Assessment
If you’d like a deeper dive, you can upgrade to a Metabolic Risk Assessment.
In this session we will typically:
Review your InBody scan in more detail.
Discuss factors such as blood pressure, waist circumference, lifestyle and family history (if available).
Identify your personal risk for conditions like type 2 diabetes, fatty liver disease and heart disease.
Create a practical plan for improving body composition, metabolic health and long-term disease risk.
You’re in control:
You can decide on the spot, or later via the app or booking link, whether you’d like to book this assessment.
