Dr Ishita Banerjee completed her residency at Launceston General Hospital prior to commencing her role as a GP Registrar in 2024. She has graduated in medicine (MBBS) from India following which she has attained a Master of Public Health from La Trobe University, Melbourne, and holds a Graduate Certificate in Child Health from Western Sydney University.
Dr Banerjee is currently expanding her skills in skin cancer medicine and is pursuing a Professional Certificate of Dermoscopy. She values the diversity and continuity of care that General Practice offers and enjoys building long-term, collaborative relationships with her patients to support their overall health and wellbeing.
Outside of clinical practice, Dr Banerjee is a trained singer in Indian classical music. She enjoys bushwalking, chasing waterfalls with her family (husband and fur baby).
